About The Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive End User Technology Engineer to join our IT Operations team at LiveWest.

As an End User Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and support of our mobile technology devices. You will ensure high availability and security of mobile phones and tablets, supporting our diverse workforce. You will work closely with the End User Services Manager and other team members to provide comprehensive support and ensure seamless device management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective configuration and management of LiveWest Mobile Device Management solutions.
  • Support the End User Services Manager to ensure the centralised hardware service is effective.
  • Assist with the distribution and software builds of LiveWest end user hardware.
  • Provide hardware repair and support for LiveWest end user devices.
  • Ensure device encryption and security systems are up to date.
  • Provide out-of-hours IT support on a shift rota.

This role is being offered on a full basis working 37 hours per week. You will be based at our Exeter Skypark office for 4 days per week, with 1 day at home if you wish.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of End User Technology Engineer, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of the implementation and operation of MDM software.
  • Good knowledge of Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems.
  • Good knowledge of networking, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, particularly listening skills, with the ability to build relationships across different teams and work with people of differing IT knowledge.
  • Logical and methodical approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.
  • Proactive approach in identifying business needs and a can-do attitude to meeting them.
  • Ability to cope positively with interruptions and engage with the bigger picture of the IT service.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence, prepared to travel to alternative sites on a regular basis.
