At LiveWest, we are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Damp and Mould Technician to join our Remote Diagnosis team. Using cutting-edge video software (TechSee), you will help customers resolve damp and mould issues in their homes—virtually and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality technical fault diagnosis and maintenance support using virtual tools.
  • Use TechSee software to inspect and diagnose basic building faults remotely.
  • Provide effective, safe, and regulation-compliant solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Act as a professional and friendly ambassador for LiveWest, ensuring excellent customer care.
  • Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety policies and data protection regulations.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week. Hybrid working is available for this role working 2 - 3 days per week in the Exeter office, dependent on business need.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Damp and Mould – Remote Diagnosis Technician, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Strong IT skills and confidence using new technology.
  • Post qualification experience in core trade or surveying.
  • Practical experience of working in the construction industry and or in the social housing sector.
  • Ability to diagnose basic building faults.
  • Clear and demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation pertaining to the construction industry including HHSRS.
  • Knowledge of responsive maintenance, condensation, damp and mould.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in a trade background or surveying (or equivalent).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Desirable: Health and Safety qualification or experience (SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
  • Desirable: CIH course level 2, 3, 4 or equivalent.
