About The Role

As an Application Engineer – SharePoint, Power Platform, and M365 at LiveWest, you will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions utilising SharePoint and Power Platform in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You will enjoy a supportive culture that values learning and collaboration, while working on projects that shape how we operate. Key Responsibilities:

  •  Develop and maintain applications using Power Apps.
  •  Automate workflows with Power Automate.
  •  Configure and manage SharePoint Online sites and permissions.
  •  Integrate Power Platform with Microsoft 365 services and third-party APIs.
  •  Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  •  Lead and manage systems improvement and implementation projects aligned with the IT strategy, meeting internal and statutory deadlines.
  •  Engage and consult with the business to provide technical guidance, evaluate new processes, improve existing ones, and implement cloud platform architecture for efficiency.
  •  Oversee configuration and change management within projects, ensuring robust data quality, lifecycle documentation, and smooth handover to BAU teams.
  •  Monitor and manage cloud platform resources, licensing, and capacity to ensure responsive access, working with Infrastructure colleagues for proactive monitoring and resolution.
  •  Communicate and present complex technical information clearly and with integrity to all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. This is a hybrid working is available for this role working 2 - 3 days per week in the office, dependent on business need. This role can be based in our Exeter, Tolvaddon or Weston-super-Mare office.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Application Engineer, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience with Power Platform tools and SharePoint Online.
  •  Proficiency in Power FX, Canvas apps, and model-driven apps.
  •  Experience with governance, lifecycle management, and security in M365.
  •  Extensive experience of building and deploying solutions using the M365 and Azure platforms.
  •  Experience of project management and leading project teams.
  •  Extensive application systems and information technology experience.
  •  Extensive experience of operating in a business partner model, working with key stakeholders to create positive business outcomes.
  •  Excellent Consultancy and communication skills and the ability to influence decisions at a senior level.
  •  Excellent understanding of IT systems environment and requirements gathering.
  •  Ability to clearly present technical information to non-technical staff using a variety of techniques and tools, like Power BI.
Qualifications
 
  •  Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  •  Appropriate technical certification – M365, Azure Services.
  •  Desirable: Recognised project management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2, AGILE.
  •  Desirable: HND or Degree level in a relevant Discipline.
