As a Lead Engineer – Electrical within our IMS team, you will take the lead in providing technical advice, support and assurance to a team of Engineers delivering electrical installations, repairs, maintenance and refurbishment to our customers’ homes. You’ll help ensure work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard, with the customer experience at the heart of what you do.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across LiveWest, you’ll support Supervisors with the oversight of performance, behaviours and service delivery, ensuring consistent, high‑quality work across your geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical lead for a team of Electrical Engineers, offering day‑to‑day support, guidance and problem‑solving.
- Support the Supervisor in promoting safe working practices and ensuring Engineers follow health and safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out pre‑, during‑ and post‑work inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are met and action any issues identified.
- Help resolve customer complaints and complex issues, providing clear communication and visiting customers when required.
- Monitor performance to ensure repairs, empty homes work and installations are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Complete inspections and audits of Engineers’ vehicles to ensure they are used safely and maintained appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with operational colleagues, supporting cross‑team working and contributing to technical and corporate projects.
- Support the effective use of resources, including tools, equipment, materials and van stock, while maintaining accurate records.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
This is a mobile role based in the field in the Weston‑super‑Mare, Bristol, Taunton, Bath and Frome area – you should be based within a 30‑minute commute of this area.
