About The Role

Keeping our customers safe is LiveWest’s number one priority. As a Fire Safety Compliance Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the homes we manage meet all fire safety legislation and best practice, and that customers understand the work we’re doing to keep them safe.

We commission around 1,500 Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) each year across our blocks of flats and other relevant buildings. You’ll review these assessments, translate actions into clear specifications of work and support delivery through our inhouse teams and external contractors, always putting safety first.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and interrogate Fire Risk Assessments, challenging assessors where required
  • Produce clear specifications of work and raise orders to address FRA actions
  • Carry out site inspections and audits to confirm remedial works are completed correctly
  • Provide expert fire safety advice to colleagues, contractors and customers
  • Support the Fire Safety Operations Manager and Duty Holder with reports and analysis
  • Keep up to date with fire safety legislation, guidance and best practice

Why should I join LiveWest?
You’ll be joining an organisation where customer safety genuinely comes first. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to where people live, working with committed colleagues who value learning, collaboration and doing the right thing.

This is a full time permanent role working 37 hours per week.
Hybrid working is available for this role, working at least 2 days per week from our Exeter office, dependent on business need.
